Reach Worship

What can be better than praising God while eating free food from Chick-fil-A and receiving convocation credit all at once? I’m pretty sure you can’t think of many things.

On November 2, Campus Ministries sponsored a free of charge REACH Worship Service. The event was held in the chapel and incorporated many individuals from major churches in the area. “The main goal of the event was for people to come and experience a night of raw, unabridged, worship. By the power of the Lord, that is exactly what happened,” says student Larry Duren, who coordinated the event. Duren also led worship for the event, along with Mikey Baur and a seven person worship team.

Many students were sincerely touched that night, not only by the worship, but by the word that was brought forth by Jon Davis. The word was about how we can all come to Christ no matter what we are going through, no matter what we have done.

“God used Reach as a vessel to draw people unto Himself and those involved were incredibly humbled and blessed to be a part of such a moving event,” says Duren.
