The graduate chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Delta Iota Sigma, who advises Rho Gamma, the undergraduate chapter at CSU, will be hosting an Oyster RHOast on Oct. 28 from 8 p.m. until midnight at Washington Park.
Tickets are $10 and will be on sale until Oct. 22. To purchase a ticket, email Jasmine Chapman at jasmine.darne.chap@gmail.com. You may also pay at the gate. Entry into the park will allow you an unlimited amount of oysters and fun. They will also be selling chicken and fish. All proceeds will go toward scholarships.
The CSU Rho Gamma chapter is working on starting a scholarship at Charleston Southern University in addition to their annual book drive. The chapter also volunteers at Ladson Elementary School every other Wednesday. Some community service events this chapter is involved in are: Soup Kitchen, Project Africare, Habitat for Humanity, Project Reassurance, Wee Savers and March of Dimes.
During the month of October, Rho Gamma recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month and will be holding events on campus.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit, service organization which stands on sisterhood, scholarship and service.
